Hope Canadian Male Choir |
Guided by faith, fueled by hope, and united in love, we embrace the power of singing to praise God our Father, uplift hearts, and create harmony through every note we share. Hope Canadian Male Choir was established in 2024 with one goal in mind: to praise God’s name through song. The choir consists of men of all ages from across Southern Ontario, all with a passion for singing. Under the guidance of the inspiring and accomplished leadership of our director Martin Mans, the choir performs several concert series annually, mainly in Southern Ontario. We are also planning a concert tour in the spring of May 2025 to The Netherlands to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Liberation of The Netherlands. Our repertoire includes faith-based songs as well as classic favourites.
Martin Mans resides in The Netherlands and is director of numerous choirs and vocal groups there, as well as being a world-renowned organist who performs over 150 organ concerts annually. Martin travels to Canada several times per year to perform with Hope Canadian Male Choir and is often joined by musicians, soloists and vocal groups from The Netherlands.

HOPE CANADIAN MALE CHOIR’S INAUGURAL CONCERT SERIES USHERS IN THE CHRISTMAS SEASON |
The Hope Canadian Male Choir's inaugural concert series, ‘A Season of Hope’, featuring 4 concerts held in churches across Southern Ontario marked the beginning of the Christmas season for many. The concerts were well attended and at the end of each concert, after the last notes of ‘Ere zij God’, sung by the choir and the audience together, faded away, the audience left with joy and warmth in their hearts. The choir, led by the always inspiring and passionate director Martin Mans from The Netherlands, were joined by soloists Pieter Baarssen and Johan Petersen of Mans’ Urker Mans Formatie, and accompanied by organist/pianist Martin Zonnenberg, all traveling from The Netherlands just to perform at these concerts. From the traditional Christmas carol ‘Silent Night, Holy Night’ to the soulful hymn ‘Near to the heart of God’ and the Southern classic ‘Yes, I know’, the choir’s powerful voices blended into unity as they rang throughout the church. The choir’s talented soloists, Menze Feenstra and Josh Overbeek, impressed the audience with their powerful solos, while Johan and Pieter’s voices joined beautifully in harmony, singing in both Dutch and English. Martin Zonnenberg’s heartfelt improvisations on the organ and piano added a special musical touch.
One of the highlights of the evening was the audience spontaneously joining the soloists and the choir in singing ‘What a Friend we have in Jesus’ which created a moving experience. The passion, talent, and dedication of the choir and their director Martin Mans, left a lasting impression on everyone in attendance.
